Greek Style Chicken Souvlaki

You can bring Greece right to your table with this delicious Greek Dinner Recipe! Complete dinner with Tzaziki, Lemon Roasted Potatoes, Greek salad and Pita bread.

Delicious Greek food is one of our favorite dinners in our household. And its healthy as well. Marinated Chicken Souvlaki served with delicious perfectly roasted Lemon Potatoes, Tzatziki, seasoned warm pita Bread and Greek Salad. Pair it with a nice Greek Wine and my LemonLime Orangade drink for the kids. Add a sweet Baklava dripping with syrup to finish off this wonderful Mediterranean dish. Great for family get togethers. My childhood was spent in the lovely Mediterranean with its Azure sea, intoxicating scent of flowers and outdoor markets. So its no wonder why I love this food!



  • Ziplock Bag

  • Metal or Wooden Skewers

  • 1 Lbs. + Chicken

  • 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil (I used Extra Virgin Olive Oil)

  • 1 Tbsp. Oregano

  • 1 Lemon Juiced

  • 3 Cloves of Chopped Garlic

  • 1 Tbsp. Paprika

  • 1 Lemon (Grated Rind)

  • 2 tbsp. chopped onion

  • 2 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar

  • Wooden or metal Skewers


  1. In a small bowl add Olive Oil, Oregano, Lemon Juice, Paprika, Garlic, Grated Lemon Rind, Onion, and Red Wine Vinegar.

  2. Chop chicken in small pieces and add to Ziplock bag with the marinade.

  3. Refrigerate for a couple hours or overnight ( my proffered method) the longer you leave it to marinate the better it tastes.

  4. When ready to cook, thread the chicken to skewers (I used metal skewers) or for wooden skewers soak in water.

  5. Prepare your grill, brush grates with some olive oil and heat the grill over medium heat. Place the skewers on grill and cook and turn until browned on all sides. Using a cooking thermometer cook until it reaches 165
